Abstract
A conference on Low Frequency Active Sonar was held at SACLANTCEN from 24th to 28th May 1993. The conference was attended by over 100 delegates from NATO countries, and the topics presented ranged from environmental aspects, through technologies to system and operational considerations. This document covers the published versions of the unclassified papers presented at the conference.

Performance assessment of the MUSCLE synthetic aperture sonar
Couillard, Michel; Groen, Johannes; Fox, Warren L. J. (CMRE, 2014/01)Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) systems are quickly becoming fundamental tools for seabed mapping applications, as they provide high resolution imagery independent of range from the sensor, with high area coverage rates. ... -
Adaptive filter of seabed clutter onboard the AUVs of an active multistatic sonar network
Micheli, Michele; Tesei, Alessandra; Ferri, Gabriele; Stinco, Pietro (CMRE, 2019/05)This work aims at reducing the false alarm rate of a multistatic active sonar working in coastal, shallow waters. The sonar system is implemented through a heterogeneous manned-unmanned network including autonomous underwater ...
